Horizon Minerals Ltd (ASX:HRZ) managing director Jon Price speaks to Proactive about the completion of trial mining at the Boorara Gold Mine in WA’s Goldfields.

The company also completed its second toll milling campaign at the Lakewood Mill, around 7 kilometres to the east.

Price said there were two key elements to the trial – generating cash in the strong Australian gold dollar price environment and more importantly, to de-risk the larger scale development that the company is working on as part of its feasibility study.

He said: “We want to understand the grade, we want to understand the geology a lot more than we have in the past and that will give us a lot more confidence to move forward with the bigger development including construction of the processing plant.”
